最上質の墨（煤）をフレームに練りこんだマリビジョン製のアイウエア「Qulo」の発表と、気鋭の墨象作家・宮村弦の近作、新作との共演。
この度、マリビジョンによるオリジナルブランドとして、黒の美を追求したフレーム「Ｑｕｌｏ」が誕生いたします。
着想を得たのは‘墨’。紀元前から長きにわたり世界を魅了し続けてきた究極の「黒」を現在の感性でとらえた新たなフレームです。
フレームには、四百有余年の歴史を持つ日本最古の製墨会社・古梅園製の最上質の煤を、また、黒の美を余すところなく引き出すために、独自のアセテート成形テクノロジーを有するタキロンローランド株式会社と追求を重ねました。
そして、プロジェクトを一つに繋げていくハブとして、気鋭の墨象作家・宮村弦のアートワークとコラボレートして「Ｑｕｌｏ」の世界を体現しています。
宮村弦の個展では、モールス符号を題材にした「モールスコード」と、点字を題材にした「ブライユコード」の近作と新作で、書の多様な解釈を提起していきます。
"Qulo", eyewear frame that pursues black beauty,
is born as an original brand of MARI VISION.
This idea has been inspired by "Japanese Sumi ink".
In terms of contemporary feeling, interpreting the ultimate "black" that the world has been fascinated with for a long period of time from BC, we are presenting a new frame.
This project invited a painter of sumi image, Mr. Gen Miyamura, as a collaboration artist.
Having learnt up to graduate school specializing in “calligraphy”,he made public great many pieces of abstract expression through bold interpretation of “sumi” ink with his sense of beauty.
プロフィール
宮村弦
“前衛書以後” の墨象作家として、書を大胆に解釈した抽象表現を発表。
書の美意識を背景に、暗号、モールス符号、点字などの言語記号やそのシステムを題材にした「言語の新たなカタチ」を提示している。
また、企業とのコラボレーションも多数手がけている。
Gen Miyamura was born in Shizuoka, in 1980. Graduated from Niigata University with a Master’s Degree in Calligraphy. Sublimating the beauty of traditional characters or abstract expression through radical approaches, he has developed his works in various media and fields, from design to fine art.
