In an exceptional location directly connected to a giant terminal station that sees three million people come and go each day, we explore the potential of new creations that are generated through interactions typical of Shibuya—a place where large crowds of people come together in the hustle and bustle of the city. Here on the 8th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, 8/ functions as a creative space that shares its DNA with the Shibuya Tokyu Bunka Kaikan, which previously stood on this site.

RENTAL SPACE

Come and generate fresh new creations and interactions at 8/.

We operate the below three rental spaces to be used by everyone. 8/ is a space that allows users to forge a diverse range of connections through a variety of events, including workshops, talks, exhibitions, and showrooms.
* Use of these spaces is subject to advanced screening.

COURT
A 172 m2 space carpeted in green and positioned at the center of the 8/ floor. The space is equipped with a 200-inch screen suited not only to exhibition events or workshops, but also seminars and screenings. The open space can also be loosely partitioned with a curtain.

CUBE
A flexible white cube featuring three spaces which can be easily divided or connected by movable partitions. It can be used as a space for art, architecture, fashion, products, or craft works, or for the promotion of regional tourism and local produce.

aiiima
Three showcases located at the entrance to 07/Creative Lounge MOV. This space isn't just for exhibitions of merchandise and art, but also a place to unveil and display creative processes around the theme of "intervals" between ideas and businesses, sketches and products, and so on.

Creative Space "8/"

A group of strong-willed committee members come together on this floor to run a gallery, shop, café and shared office space around the multipurpose space, "Court". Shibuya-like creative vibes; exchanging ideas; building on concepts; editing; influencing…
With these keywords in mind, we aim to provide a space like the cafés of old-a place filled with creative energy where people gather to freely exchange thoughts and spark new ideas.

The d design travel editorial team provide delicious, proper Japanese meals using ingredients sourced from food producers that they have encountered all over Japan. A different prefecture is featured each month, and customers can also enjoy sampling and comparing a variety of different beers and juices from each area.
